I have already mentioned the Ye Olde White Horse on the main Spalding page. There are other places to eat in Spalding.

The Poachers Inn serves food. I haven't eaten there because the time we stayed in one of their rooms was a Monday. They don't serve food on Monday. They sent us to the Ye Olde White Horse. We did stop at Poachers a few months later and arrived just as they were finishing up lunch service. They were very busy so it must be good.

I heard a woman say that Spalding is the take-out (take away for Americans) capitol of the world and she may be right. You have the choice of fish and chips, Chinese, Indian, Pizza, and chicken. We asked friends who live in Spalding where they like to eat out and they just looked at us dumb founded. They don't eat out! Well, I always like to ask the locals because you usually can't go wrong with what they recommend.

The Blues Cafe

Located in the Red Lion Hotel, this dining room has a very warm atmosphere. The menu offers sandwiches, baguettes,hamburgers, traditional English entrees, and vegetarian dishes. It also has chef's daily specials. The Sunday menu offers the traditional English roast beef dinner at lunch time
