Mablethorpe is another town on the Lincolnshire Coast that has easily accessable, wide sandy beaches. Here you can rent a beach hut for the day or week so you can take a break out of the sun or wind if you like and with a small gas camping stove heat up a cup of coffee or a hot lunch. Deck chairs are also available for hire. Sports activities available are windsurfing, canoeing, and sailing. Life guards patrol the beach during the summer months.
Mablethorpe also has a "bikes for hire" shop located at Spanish City on High Street.
The Seal Sanctuary and Nature Centre located in north Mablethorpe is a great place to see the seals that have been rescued on the beaches. The centre also rescues and cares for other wildlife such as foxes, barn owls, and badgers in a natural environment. The conservation education area has exhibits of dinosauers, fossils, and plant life.
Kids will enjoy the donkey rides down the beach from Queens Park to the North Shore.
A traditional fairground, Dunes Leisure, located on the promenade offers fun, low-cost rides for the whole family.
