You just can't get a hotel more convenient than this. The Duke William has been a hostelry since 1777 and the building dates from the 1680's. It is located within a short walking distance to the castle and cathedral. It is right beside Newgate, the Roman Arch. All rooms are en suite and have TV, coffee and tea making facilities, and hair dryers. Private and secure parking is available in the back of the hotel. Breakfast is included in the room price. The restaurant seats 45 and serves traditional British dishes as well as Mexican nachos and fajitas. The menu has a nice selection of desserts and also Lincolnshire-made ice cream. Sandwiches and jacket potatoes are also on the menu.
This one is in the same area as Duke William and is one of the most interesting hotels in Lincoln. The White Hart is where the cast and crew of The Da Vinci Code stayed. Some of the rooms face Lincoln Cathedral. It was the lodging for Richard II when he visited Lincoln in 1387.
All rooms are en suite and have flat screen TV,direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, and iron. Some rooms have a sitting area or separate lounge. There are two restaurants, The King Richard which is more formal and the more casual Orangery Brassiere. The Club Bar is a relaxing place to have a drink after a long day of site seeing. The Lounge is open 24 hours a day and you can have tea/coffee or a light snack served there.
The hotel is a 14th century building and it is not really good for the disabled. Someone who uses a wheelchair but can still walk short distances would probably be able to manage. There is a small elevator but it is not big enough for a wheelchair. The hotel is constrained in making changes to the structure by laws requiring the preservation of the historic building.
Parking is in a garage across the street and is accessable only to hotel patrons.
The Old Bakery is on top of the hill at the same level as the castle and cathedral. All rooms have color TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and hair dryers. Some rooms are en suite. No parking facility is provided but street parking is available.. Most of the cast and crew of The Da Vinci Code ate in the restaurant when they were in Lincoln. An example from the a la carte menu is Tournedos of 'Lincoln Red' beef stuffed with Cote Hill Blue cheese, wrapped in Parma ham on Branston potato rosti and beef jus." ;The lunch menu is of lighter fare. Outdoor dining is available in the courtyard which is heated during cool weather.

The restaurant doesn't open until 7:15 pm and last orders are taken at 8:30 pm. High chairs are available for children. The a la carte menu includes beef steak, roast lamb, and seafood pasta.
The Courtyard by Marriot Lincoln is the most modern of the hotels in Lincoln. It is located on the Brayford Pool waterfront. It offers all the services of a modern hotel which includes secure parking monitored by CCTV. Small pets are welcome with prior notice gived directly to the hotel. Rooms have either a view of the waterfront or the castle and cathedral. There is a restaurant and bar.
